FOX News Channel (FNC) delivered its highest-rated January in cable news history and marked 23 consecutive years as the number one network in cable news, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. In primetime (8 – 11 PM/ET), FNC delivered 2.8 million viewers and 353,000 in the 25-54 demographic, growing its audience 40% year-over-year in total viewership and 61% in the 25-54 demo. In total day, FNC drew 1.9 million viewers and 253,000 in the 25-54 demo, marking 53% growth year-over-year with viewers and 70% in the 25-54 demo. Meanwhile CNN and MSNBC both saw all time January lows in the 25-54 demo with CNN slumping to 80,000 in total day and 118,000 in primetime, while MSNBC lagged to just 45,000 viewers in total day and 63,000 viewers in primetime. FNC commanded 67% of total day viewers and 69% of primetime viewers in January which was its second highest share in network history. Once again, more Independents and Democrats continued to tune in to FNC over any other network across total day, according to data from Nielsen MRI Fusion. FNC was also number one in cable news with Asians, Hispanics and upscale viewers throughout total day. Additionally, FNC was January’s fastest growing cable news network in both viewers and the 25-54 demographic.

FOX Nation has signed its second deal with Academy Award-winning actor and filmmaker Kevin Costner for a three-part limited series entitled “Yellowstone to Yosemite with Kevin Costner,” announced Lauren Petterson, president of the streaming platform. Hosted and executive produced by Costner, the release follows the breakout success of Costner’s “Yellowstone: One-Fifty,” which premiered on FOX Nation in 2022. Episode one will debut on Saturday, February 8th, kicking off the steaming platform’s year-long “America 250” campaign, commemorating the country’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

FOX News Media’s special programming surrounding the inauguration of President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance was the highest rated in cable news history, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, FNC’s special coverage marked the highest non-primetime cable news telecast in history and posted triple digit increases versus the inauguration of President Joe Biden in 2021 and grew in viewership versus 2017. Coverage across FOX News Channel (FNC) and FOX Business Network (FBN) peaked at 12 million viewers and 2.6 million in A25-54 in the 12 PM/ET hour. From 11:30 AM to 1 PM/ET, FNC’s Inauguration of Donald Trump, co-anchored by chief political anchor Special Report’s Bret Baier and anchor and executive editor of The Story Martha MacCallum, garnered 11.4 million in viewers and 2.4 million in A25-54, outpacing broadcast networks ABC, NBC, CBS in viewers and all cable networks across the board. It was FNC’s highest rated Inauguration Day special programming in network history. During inauguration coverage, FNC held 80% of the cable news audience share in viewers and 77% in the A25-54 demo as MSNBC and CNN marked more lows. According to data from Nielsen MRI Fusion, FNC also had the largest cable news share with democrats (72%) and independents (78%). MSNBC delivered its lowest-rated inauguration day coverage ever (11:30AM-1PM/ET) and CNN fell to its second lowest-rated inauguration in network history.

FOX News finished 2024 as the top news brand with multiplatform views and minutes while seeing yearly growth across all metrics, according to Comscore. For the year, FOX News Digital secured 41 billion total multiplatform minutes (up 11% vs. 2023), 21.1 billion total multiplatform views (up 5% vs. 2023) and averaged 110.7 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors per month.* Comparatively, CNN saw declines despite the historic presidential race with multiplatform views (down 4% vs. 2023), minutes (down 3% vs. 2023) and unique visitors (down 7% vs. 2023). National multimedia sports platform OutKick finished Q4 2024 with most growth among its custom competitive set across all main metrics versus Q4 2023. The platform saw 7.8 million average monthly desktop and mobile unique visitors, up 28% versus Q4 2023, 97 million total multiplatform views, up 33% versus the prior year quarter, and 91 million total multiplatform minutes, up 25% versus Q4 2023, according to Comscore.

FOX News Media (FNM) will unveil a series of programming changes across FOX News Channel (FNC) and FOX Business Network (FBN), announced FNM CEO Suzanne Scott. Beginning on January 21, FOX & Friends Weekend co-host Will Cain will take over the 4 PM/ET weekday timeslot on FNC with The Will Cain Show. FOX News contributor Charlie Hurt will replace Cain as co-host of FOX & Friends Weekend beginning January 18. The Fox Report and The Big Weekend Show will both expand to two hours on Saturdays & Sundays also starting on January 18. Additionally, FBN’s Dagen McDowell will join The Big Money Show which will expand from 12-2 PM/ET on weekdays beginning on January 27 while she also continues to co-host The Bottom Line (6-7 PM/ET).

National multimedia sports platform OutKick delivered back-to-back months with double digit year over year growth in November 2024 with 7.7 million total desktop and mobile unique visitors, up 21% versus November 2023, 34 million total multiplatform views, up 39% versus the prior year, and 32 million total multiplatform minutes, up 38% versus November 2023, according to Comscore.

FOX News Channel (FNC) continued to break ratings records in 2024, finishing the year with the highest share of the cable news audience in nearly a decade as it marks nine consecutive years as the highest-rated cable network in all of television, according to Nielsen Media Research. FNC was the number one network throughout the political cycle and more viewers tuned into the network for breaking news coverage of major events than any other cable news channel, catapulting FNC to another year of ratings dominance. This past year, FNC held 56% of the cable news audience in primetime and 53% in total day, securing the majority of those watching the genre and notching its highest share of the audience since 2015. FNC was up the most in every category versus the year prior, posting double-digit gains across the board, and delivered double and triple-digit advantages over the competition in viewers, A25-54 and A18-49. In primetime, FNC averaged 2,384,000 viewers (+30% vs. 2023) and 294,000 in A25-54 (+40% vs. 2023), topping CNN and MSNBC combined in viewership. In total day, FNC saw 1,458,000 viewers (+21% vs. 2023) and 186,000 in A25-54 (+26% vs. 2023). The fastest growing cable channel of the year, FNC programs made up 70 of the top 100 cable news telecasts and the network had the highest length of tune in the genre across all categories. Additionally, more Independents and Democrats continued to choose FNC over any other network with viewers and A25-54, according to Nielsen MRI Fusion. The network was also number one among Hispanic, Asian and upscale viewers. Notably, CNN reached another new low, finishing the year with its smallest audience in network history in total day A25-54 with a paltry 91,000 in the demo and 481,000 in viewers.

FOX News finished November as the top news brand on YouTube securing over 400 million video views during a historic election month, according to Shareablee. As Americans voted in an historical election, FOX News Digital marked its best month since November 2020 leading news brands with multiplatform views and minutes, according to Comscore. For the month, FOX News Digital secured 4.5 billion total multiplatform minutes (up 57% over November 2023), 2.4 billion total multiplatform views (up 43% over last year) and 114.9 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors (up 30% over November 2023).* Comparatively, CNN saw declines compared to November 2023 with both multiplatform views (down 3% vs. November 2023) and multiplatform minutes (down 8% vs. November 2023). FOX News Channel’s Sean Hannity will host a new long-form interview show for FOX Nation entitled, “Sean” premiering today on the platform, announced Lauren Petterson, its president. The new series will feature in-depth sit-down interviews with a variety of guests spanning the world of sports, entertainment, and politics. Episode one kicks off with iconic actor, writer and director Sylvester Stallone alongside his wife, entrepreneur, and model Jennifer Flavin Stallone.

FOX News Channel (FNC) commanded its highest-share of the cable news audience in network history across total day, holding 62% of the cable news audience during the historic election month, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. Leading across every category, FNC marked 45 consecutive months as number one with cable news in primetime and total day in both viewers and the 25-54 demographic. In primetime (8 – 11 PM/ET), FNC delivered 3.2 million viewers and 476,000 in the 25-54 demographic, growing its audience 86% year-over-year in total viewership and 147% in the 25-54 demo. In total day, FNC drew 2 million viewers and 282,000 in the 25-54 demo, marking 67% growth year-over-year with viewers and 101% in the 25-54 demo. Once again, more Independents and Democrats continued to tune in to FNC over any other network with A25-54, according to data from Nielsen MRI Fusion. FNC was also number one in cable news with Asians, Hispanics and upscale viewers throughout total day. Additionally, FNC was November’s fastest growing television network in both viewers and the 25-54 demographic. This month, FNC delivered 248 telecasts with over two million viewers, compared to MSNBC which saw just 14 and CNN with only ten.

National multimedia sports platform OutKick delivered massive growth in October 2024 with 8.6 million total desktop and mobile unique visitors, up 61% versus the prior month and 44% year over year, and 31 million total multiplatform views, up 32% versus the prior month and 30% year over year. The platform also saw 28 million total multiplatform minutes, up 35% versus the prior month, and 21% year over year, according to Comscore.

FOX News Digital finished October delivering year-over-year growth, overtaking CNN with total digital multiplatform unique visitors for the third time this year, according to Comscore. While continuing to lead all news brands with multiplatform views and minutes, FOX News Digital secured 3.9 billion total multiplatform minutes (up 13% over October 2023), 2 billion total multiplatform views (up 9% over last year) and 115.8 million total digital multiplatform unique visitors (up 6% over October 2023).* Comparatively, CNN saw double digit declines across the board and lagged behind FOX News Digital in all three of these key categories, despite the historic run up to the presidential election. FOX News Channel’s (FNC) special coverage of Vice President Kamala Harris’ concession speech was number one in television yesterday, delivering 7.9 million viewers and 1.4 million in the 25-54 demo, according to Nielsen Media Research data. Anchored by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, the FOX News Democracy 24 special coverage from 4:15-4:45 PM/ET set a record for post-election coverage and commanded 64% of the cable news audience. Comparatively CNN averaged 2.2 million viewers and 555,000 in the 25-54 demo and MSNBC saw 2.3 million viewers and 353,000 in the 25-54 demo. According to early Nielsen numbers, ABC nabbed 2.4 million viewers and 544,000 in the 25-54 demo and CBS took 1.8 million viewers and 362,000 in the 25-54 demo during the same timeframe.

FOX News Media’s primetime coverage of election night across FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Network, FOX Business Network (FBN) and FOX News Digital topped all television networks with nearly 13.6 million viewers and 4.4 million in the 25-54 demo, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. FNC’s Democracy 2024 primetime coverage averaged nearly 10.3 million in total viewers and 3.1 million in the 25-54 younger demographic, dominating the competition in both categories and beating ABC, NBC, CBS and all cable news networks for the second election in a row.

FOX News Channel (FNC) will debut new immersive graphics technology during its FOX News: Democracy 2024 coverage on Tuesday, November 5th. As part of FNC’s renovation of its premiere Studio M earlier this year, the network’s engineers enhanced the viewer experience with several technology and design innovations, including augmented reality (AR) technology for anchor Bill Hemmer’s “Bill”-board, recently developed virtual set technology and new touchscreen applications for the FOX News Voter Analysis. The innovative tools will enable FNC’s reporting teams to seamlessly provide the audience with the most updated polling information and voter analysis throughout its marathon coverage.

OutKick’s Maintaining with Tyrus will feature a sit-down interview with Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump on Friday, October 18 dropping at 8 AM/ET on OutKick.com. The interview will take place at Trump Tower in New York and will mark the second time the former President has appeared on the platform during this election cycle.

National multimedia sports platform OutKick saw continued growth in Q3 of 2024 with 75 million total multiplatform views, up 6% versus Q2 of 2024 and 68 total multiplatform minutes, up 9% versus Q2 of 2024, according to Comscore. The platform also had an average monthly total digital population of 11.3 million multiplatform unique visitors in Q3 of 2024.

FOX News Digital finished the third quarter 2024 leading all news brands with multiplatform views and minutes seeing double digit gains year-over-year, according to Comscore. This marked the 14th consecutive quarter FOX News Digital has been number one with multiplatform minutes and the ninth consecutive quarter it has led with multiplatform views. FOX News Digital closed out the third quarter reaching 10.4 billion total multiplatform minutes, 5.3 billion multiplatform views, and an average of 116 million monthly average total digital multiplatform unique visitors (up 31% vs. Q3 2023).* FOX News Digital also continued to close the gap with CNN with now just 8 million average total digital multiplatform unique visitors between the two entities for the quarter. FOX News Channel’s (FNC) chief political anchor Bret Baier will conduct an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris in the battleground state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 16th. This week’s appearance marks her first formal sit-down interview on the network ever and will air during Special Report with Bret Baier at 6 PM/ET on October 16th. Baier will be anchoring Special Report from Pennsylvania that evening.

FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Harris Faulkner will present a town hall with Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump focusing on issues impacting women ahead of the election and news of the day at Reid Barn in Cumming, Georgia. The event, which will be held with an audience entirely composed of women, will pre-tape on October 15th and air on October 16th on The Faulkner Focus (11 AM-12 PM/ET). FOX News has a standing invitation to Vice President Harris for a townhall event of equal stature which has been extended to her campaign multiple times since she became a candidate for president in August.

FOX News Media will launch a new daily one-hour Spanish-language program entitled FOX Noticias that spotlights issues impacting the Hispanic community beginning October 15th, announced FOX News Senior Vice President John Sylvester. FOX & Friends Weekend co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy will helm the program which will air weekdays at 4 PM/ET on the country’s first and longest running Spanish-language sports network, FOX Deportes, and will also be available in podcast form via FOX News Audio.

FOX Nation signed a deal to become the exclusive partner for all-new seasons of the hit series God. Family. Football. announced Lauren Petterson, president of the platform. Originally available on Amazon, FOX Nation will re-launch the show with a new season featuring eight never-before-seen episodes dropping every Friday night, starting on October 11th, and running throughout the fall. With a second season slated to premiere in 2025, the series explores the human spirit, teamwork and timeless wisdom of legendary Shreveport, Louisiana high school football coach Pastor Denny Duron, who continues to inspire and develop champions by putting God first, family second and football third. On Wednesday, September 18th, FOX News Channel’s Gutfeld! delivered its highest-rated telecast in program history, averaging 4.9 million viewers and 744,000 in 25-54 demo. The program featured former President Donald Trump’s first late-night appearance since a 2016 interview with NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Gutfeld! was the most-watched show in all of cable and broadcast primetime, defeating the debuts of CBS’s Survivor (4.7 million P2+) and ABC’s The Golden Bachelorette (2.8 million P2+). Television’s number one-rated late-night program also beat all cable and broadcast late-night programs on Wednesday, including CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2.1 million P2+; 310,000 A25-54), ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1.4 million P2+; 237,000 A25-54) and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (1 million P2+; 228,000 A25-54).
