NewsNation today announced new additions to its primetime programming line-up, with On Balance hosted by anchor/reporter Leland Vittert taking over the 9 pm ET hour, and Elizabeth Vargas Reports, hosted by veteran journalist Elizabeth Vargas, moving to 7 pm ET. The new line-up is effective Monday, February 10. The network also announced that it has reached a new multi-year agreement with Ms. Vargas to continue hosting her weeknight program.

NewsNation today announced that anchor and reporter Chris Cuomo has reached a multi-year agreement with the network to continue hosting his top-rated primetime program, CUOMO, weeknights at 8 p.m. ET.

NewsNation today announced that it will expand its news programming to 24-hours-per-day Monday through Sunday, beginning June 1. The network will launch the final portion of its live news line-up with the early-evening edition of NewsNation Now with Adrienne Bankert on Saturdays and Sundays from 4-7 p.m. ET. This new block of news follows the recent launches of the weekend editions of Morning in America with Hena Doba from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET, NewsNation Live from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, NewsNation Now with Anna Kooiman from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET, and The Hill Sunday with Chris Stirewalt, which debuted earlier this year.

In the New York City market, the nation’s largest DMA, WPIX-TV’s broadcast of the debate was #1 in primetime, drawing more than 300,000 total viewers.

NewsNation, the fastest-growing network in primetime cable news, today announced that it will host the fourth Republican presidential primary debate of the 2024 election cycle on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, from 8-10 p.m. ET. The debate will air live across the United States exclusively on Nexstar Media Group, Inc.’s (NASDAQNXST), national cable news network, NewsNation, and will be simulcast in the country’s Eastern and Central time zones on Nexstar’s broadcast television network, The CW. Viewers in the Mountain and Pacific time zones will be able to watch the debate live on NewsNation or see an encore presentation on their local CW television affiliate from 7-9 p.m. MT and 8-10 p.m. PT. The primetime news program, hosted by multi award-winning broadcast anchor and attorney Chris Cuomo, will debut Monday, October 3, and air weeknights at 8pm ET/7pm CT on NewsNation. Alexandra “Dusty” Cohen has been named executive producer of “Cuomo,” which will be produced live at Nexstar’s midtown Manhattan production studios.

NewsNation, Nexstar Media Inc.’s wholly-owned news and entertainment cable network reaching 70 million U.S. television households, today announced the further expansion of its news programming with the launch of “NewsNation Live with Marni Hughes,” beginning Monday, September 19. Featuring lead news anchor Marni Hughes, the two-hour mid-morning news program will air Monday-Friday from 10am-12pm ET/9am-11am CT, with James Holm serving as Executive Producer. Following the addition of “NewsNation Live,” the cable news network will offer 96 hours of news, analysis and talk every week.

NewsNation, Nexstar Media Inc.’s wholly-owned news and entertainment cable network reaching 75 million U.S. television households, today announced an expansion of its live, national morning news programming with the premiere of “Early Morning,” a new one-hour cable news program debuting Monday, June 27, at 6 a.m. ET. Mitch Carr will anchor the broadcast and Emmy-nominated cable news veteran James Holm will serve as executive producer. Following the addition of “Early Morning,” NewsNation will offer a total of 86 hours of live national news, analysis, and talk every week - more than double the number of news hours on the network at its launch in September 2020.

NewsNation, Nexstar Media Inc.’s wholly-owned news and entertainment cable network reaching 75 million U.S. television households, today announced its latest expansion plans, adding 12 hours of live news programming weekly by early June. Once the expansion is complete, the network’s weekly original programming will increase from 21 hours at its launch in September 2020, to a total of 61 hours of live news, analysis, and talk every week.
