Child care and education company Bright Horizons (NYSE:BFAM) will be reporting results this Thursday after market hours. Here’s what you need to know.

Bright Horizons beat analysts’ revenue expectations by 1.1% last quarter, reporting revenues of $731.6 million, up 9.2% year on year. It was a satisfactory quarter for the company, with a narrow beat of analysts’ organic revenue estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Bright Horizons’s revenue to grow 8.5% year on year to $780.2 million, slowing from the 11.4% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.32 per share.

Looking at Bright Horizons’s peers in the consumer discretionary segment, some have already reported their Q3 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Nike delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 1.1%, beating analysts’ expectations by 6.5%, and VF Corp reported a revenue decline of 3.5%, topping estimates by 0.9%.
