Finexer launches Invoice Reconciliation Tracker, letting UK SaaS platforms automate invoice payment matching via Open Banking data.

-- Finexer, the UK Open Banking infrastructure provider authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017, firm reference number 925695, as an Authorised Payment Institution, has introduced Invoice Reconciliation Tracker — a product that helps UK platform builders track invoice payment status, match bank-confirmed transactions to invoice records, and identify payment cases that may require finance team review using Open Banking data, Pay by Bank flows, and webhook-based event updates.

The problem is well understood by UK finance teams. An invoice is issued. A customer confirms payment. But the team still has to verify whether the money arrived, whether the amount is correct, whether the reference matches, and whether the invoice can safely be closed. In many businesses, that process still involves manual bank checks, CSV exports, spreadsheet comparisons, and month-end clean-ups because the invoice record, the payment flow, and the bank-side confirmation sit in separate systems with no automatic connection between them.

Finexer Invoice Reconciliation Tracker is built for the platforms those finance teams use every day: UK SaaS providers, accounting tools, ERP systems, invoice automation platforms, and payroll and finance operations software. It does not replace those platforms. It gives them the Open Banking connectivity, bank transaction data, and reconciliation signals needed to add invoice payment tracking and matching capability directly inside their own products.

Where a transaction does not result in a clean match, the tracker can help platforms surface cases such as partial payment, overpayment, expired payment requests, missing references, unclear payer information, or low-confidence matches that need finance team review. This gives teams earlier visibility of payment issues without leaving the platform they already work in.

“Finance teams are still spending too much time checking whether invoices have actually been paid,” said Yuri, CTO of Finexer. “With Invoice Reconciliation Tracker, we are giving platform builders the infrastructure to connect invoice records, payment flows, and bank transactions inside the products their customers already use.”

According to the Open Banking Impact Report by Open Banking Limited, published in May 2025, 31 million Open Banking payments were made in the UK in March 2025 — equivalent to one in thirteen of all Faster Payments — representing a 70% year-on-year growth in payment volumes.
