The event announcement highlights the race as the only half marathon option within 150 miles of Charlotte, making it a unique opportunity for distance runners in the region.
Participants can choose from half marathon, 10K, or 5K distances, with race times starting at 7:30 AM for the half marathon, 7:35 AM for the 10K, and 7:40 AM for the 5K. All races begin and end at Life Fellowship Church located at 20010 Chartown Dr in Cornelius. A virtual race option is also available for remote participants.
The half marathon course features two loops on certified asphalt roads, while all courses remain entirely on paved surfaces with no off-road sections. Half marathon runners must complete the course by 11:15 AM, allowing 3 hours and 45 minutes for completion.
Runners receive premium race swag including finisher medals, technical t-shirts, cups, and beanies. Half marathon participants also receive hoodies as part of their registration package. T-shirt size availability is guaranteed for participants who register by November 3, 2024.
The event features comprehensive awards for top finishers, with overall and age group recognition for the top three men and women in each distance category.
Registration and packet pickup occur at Charlotte Running Company in Mooresville on November 24, and at the race venue on November 26 and race morning. The event also offers a volunteer program where participants can race for free in exchange for race day service.
Epic Sports Marketing has organized this community event for 19 consecutive years, building a strong reputation among local runners and visitors from across the Southeast region. The race serves as the third event in the 2025 Vibe-X Lake Norman Half Marathon Series.
Race proceeds benefit the Human Health Project, an organization that provides grants and donates food items to local food shelters. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations during registration.
