Hailing from Queens and now thriving in Nashville, Josh Epifanio's mission extends beyond music. He aims to inspire hope in those who feel lost and disconnected. His journey as an artist showcases his versatility and commitment to authentic storytelling.
Josh Epifanio’s love for music began at age 10 when his dad showed him guitar chords to old-school hits like "Earth Angel." What started with a tambourine quickly evolved into an all-consuming passion for guitar, turning his interest into an obsession. By middle school, Josh was writing original material and performing in post-hardcore and metalcore bands alongside his older brother. He soaked up inspiration at venues like Charlotte's legendary Tremont Music Hall, where he witnessed future stars, including A Day To Remember, in their formative years. His band, Under Fire, achieved early success after winning a local Battle of the Bands, further cementing his dedication to music.
Josh later shifted from performing high-energy Norma Jean covers to delivering intimate acoustic renditions of NeverShoutNever songs in high school, going on to study classical guitar at UNCC and audio engineering at Nashville's prestigious Blackbird Academy, which provided him with the skills to self-produce his music. After a life-altering car accident on November 12, 2013, Josh emerged with renewed purpose, embracing sobriety and faith, which became a pivotal moment in both his personal and artistic journey. This transformative experience inspired his powerful track "Blame," which chronicles his spiritual awakening. Since relocating to Nashville in 2014, Josh has collaborated with numerous acclaimed artists and completed nationwide tours from Denver to Portland, releasing his debut album in 2023.
Now a husband and father of three, his songwriting has matured into themes of relationships and personal growth. His current releases include compelling tracks like "Can't Fix Myself" and "Agave Blues," which explores divine intervention and confronting unrealized potential. His music video for "Agave Blues" showcases his artistic vision and can be found on his YouTube channel.
His upcoming single, "So Far From Sober," releases on May 23rd and continues this trajectory of honest, introspective songwriting. Following this release, Josh will unveil "Pipeline," a song that celebrates personal growth and spiritual gratitude. He will also be hosting an intimate Instagram Live listening party featuring acoustic performances and behind-the-scenes stories about the track's creation. Summer tour dates in Nashville will follow.
