About Mr. Shane Dooley
Mr. Dooley is a strong believer in the ideals and values of the American experiment. This passion led him to enlist in the U.S. Navy right after graduating from high school, embarking on a military career that spanned nearly 20 years. He is grateful for the experience that allowed him to travel the world and be exposed to various cultures. His time in the service shaped him into the person he is today.
Though Mr. Dooley has been successful throughout his military career, he credits the teams he worked with for his success. He believes in surrounding himself with intelligent people who contribute to his achievements. He acknowledges that his perseverance and grit have also helped him throughout his career, attributing his accomplishments to his ability to think critically and solve problems.
While serving in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Dooley specialized as a Navy SEAL. He served in various commands on the west coast out of Coronado, California, and took on different roles, including project manager team lead, senior program manager, senior training instructor and senior enlisted leader. The U.S. Navy instilled in him many traits that he uses in his personal and professional life to this day.
A Shift in Career
As he transitioned from the U.S. Navy to his current position, Mr. Dooley focused on maintaining his ambitious outlook on life. He explains that he adheres to a leadership philosophy that is centered on the guiding principles of challenges, capabilities and connections.
Mr. Dooley holds himself to a high moral standard throughout every aspect of his life and aspires to continually grow and improve. He pursued his education while serving, which was an enormous challenge. While studying for a master's degree, he was also preparing to be deployed. He earned a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership and a master's degree in strategic leadership from the University of Charleston.
Mr. Dooley completed coursework in business administration and emerging technology at Louisiana State University. In addition, he is attending Harvard Business School's Program for Leadership Development (PLD 40). The eight-month program is indicative of his commitment to his professional growth.
A Continued Support for Veterans
Mr. Dooley is committed to supporting fellow veterans by looking for opportunities to help them transition from the military to civilian life. It is important to him to empower other veterans and have a meaningful impact on their lives. He points to his experience in the U.S. Navy, witnessing people living up to their potential and beginning "to believe in themselves and in a greater purpose." He hopes to continue encouraging others in their personal growth and development.
